| Andy Oliver | |
| Since sending out his first runners in 2004, Andy Oliver has made
a name for himself as one of the brightest talents amongst the ranks
of the country’s trainers. The Tyrone-based handler, who was
formerly assistant to Mark Johnston, has in recent seasons proved
himself most adept at unearthing high class talent. Perfect Polly
was a smart juvenile for the trainer in 2007, Connie Mac was only
just denied in the Queen Mary at Royal Ascot last year while this
term the teak tough In Some Respect has represented the trainer with
distinction in a number of good races. 2009 was Oliver’s best year to date but there should certainly be better still to come from him and next year he can look forward to challenging for good prizes with the likes of In Some Respect and the dual winner Elusive Award. |
